Spare of A Girl's Thoughts

"Life is not about finding our self, but how we create it" It's about a girl who is very fascinated about life, but yet hasn't got enough about it. She's kinda stuck between the reminiscent and the future all about but always looking forward to move on and wishing someday, neither force or vengeance would be able to restraint her from her very own freedom.

:: Busy Nights at Flinders St

Photo taken: May 2006 By: vveen Location: Flinders St., Melbourne Occassion: Walking home from gym (Melbourne Central)

This picture captures the other side of the main station in the city, Flinders St. Station. Flinders St station is not merely about a train station, it's a city's landmark. This station has connected many commuters across Melbourne and Victoria suburban since 1854. Statistically, approximately 105,000 commuters and 1,500 trains pass through the station each weekday.

If one day you had a chance to visit this city and about to meet your friend, the famous meeting point is usually "under the clocks". It refers to the row of clocks above the station's main entrance which indicate the departure time of the next train on each line (though some of the clocks refer to discontinued lines).

:: My Favourite Corner

Where? It's called Degraves St., off Flinders Ln, Melbourne.

Why? Cuz' this place is absolutely exciting! You'll find cafes along the street, beautiful buildings, unique vintage stores, the cheapest dry clean store I've found so far, cozy library and yummy Belgian waffle store!

Favourite? The Belgian waffle definitely on the top, Shag Vintage store is an always visit store, City Library is a place where I can have a nice cup of coffee, while laying down reading a book on the sofa.

Want more? Vintage Retro might look like a trash...but who knows you'll find treasure instead. Teriyaki Chicken sushi at the sushi bar across the library is also not bad at all!

When? It sometimes a lil bit busier during office break hour. In rare occassion, some people use this corner for photo shot or film shooting. The best time may be after 3 pm, but watch out for all the stores in this area are close at 6 pm. Even during weekend. Come too early is sometimes no good. Some stores open after 12 but after that this area is hell crowded.

Advise: Try this one for a really really different athmosphere of Melbourne :)

:: Melbourne's Weather

One thing I hate about Melbourne is when it comes to its unbelievably weather. It's been almost a month since the beginning of May, we've been constantly under extremely cold weather, wet and windy. Only one single day in this month I could recall, that I was finally able to take off my jacket and said, "It's hot!"

FYI, at this period officially Melbourne should be in autumn season, where the weather should be warmer and nicer. At least you still can walk on dried leaves on the streets without almost slipped over. And by the way, I almost forgot that winter is coming soon starting next month officially. Can you imagine how worse would that be?

Tell me about my constant wearing outfit for season like this. I've been wearing the same two jackets for the whole month! I always tell everyone I really want to get rid of this jacket. It's bulky, it's not nice and it's boring. Okay, may be I'm bored, too. But I need it. I just couldn't get away from it because of this early bird winter! The only thing that obviously make winter outfit *a lil bit* better is only my pair of boots. Seriously! But I just love my boots very much, I don't have a heart to see my boots got wet in the rain or water splash.

What comes early, should go away earlier too, right? I hope this nature law is also applied for crazy season like this. It is very notarious that Melbourne's weather is unpredictable; the 'four seasons in a day' quote, you can have winter in the morning, then spring, summer, followed by autumn in the afternoon. But what else I can do, right? Cheer myself with the tucked in jeans inside the boots...and a pair of gloves, and a warm winter hat, and a fluffy scarf. And now, call me 'a walking-wardrobe-is-hitting-uni' girl...

::This Sunday

Today I went to a BBQ party celebrating my friend's birthday at Albert Park. Some of you maybe know about this park. This park is made famous mainly because of this big and international annual event, Australia Grand Prix F1 is held in this park.

Albert Park is a beautiful park, situated close to CBD area. You can find a big lake in the center of the park, and from there you can see a great view of Melbourne city. This park also provides some bbq pits where my friend held her party today. The food was never stop and we had a helluva good time. And here is our bbq pit from a far.

:: Rambling...

Almost two weeks have past since I posted my last posting. Time is surely running so fast. What had I done lately? Pretty much uni related things, retail therapy ;) and another church thingy is coming up. Last week I just attended my friend's graduation day, went to Blue Fire Fine Dining to celebrate. Then on Friday I went to City with a girlfriend, browsing thru' vintage stores and fine boutiques *she was looking for a fine dress* and landing our tired feet at Greco Cafe, Crown Casino Area till' late. Even though we went home empty handed, we really had a good good time.

I went to uni during last weekend. Yeah you didn't read it wrong, neither did I write it incorrect. On Saturday, I and my girlfriend went to Armadale Area to inspect a flat. My girlfriend's boss asked my friend to inspect the flat for him because he wasn't able to do it himself. The flat is good and fantastic. For one bed room flat, the size is perfect. The environment is good, attractive location. I liked it, everybody did. Hopefully, his application would be accepted by the landlord.

Another unusual thing I've been doing for the past few days is eBay-ing. I've been thinking I should get rid og some stuffs I no longer use, and at the same time, get my self a bargain at eBay :) I've been selling bags, shoes, jeans, car cleaners, eye toy and other stuffs are coming up after the first round of auction is finished. For the next one, I'd like to sell books, another couple of shoes and couple of bags. I really coundn't wait till my first auctions is finished. It's just great to see people bid or question or watching your auction. And I'm planning to make a beautiful packaging by the time I should send the stuff to the winning bidder.

By the way, my exam is coming really soon. And this isn't gonna be easy.

That's pretty much it. And now I need to go to toilet for a nature call :p Excuse myself...
