Spare of A Girl's Thoughts

"Life is not about finding our self, but how we create it" It's about a girl who is very fascinated about life, but yet hasn't got enough about it. She's kinda stuck between the reminiscent and the future all about but always looking forward to move on and wishing someday, neither force or vengeance would be able to restraint her from her very own freedom.

:: i've been procrastinated. badly.

let's sum up what i'd been doing last couple of weeks.

i went to several places, including some new tried cafes and restaurant, puffing billy at belgrave and art exhibition and gardens. in my case, i'm gonna write something about those new places, not that i'm doing restaurants/cafe review or something. i'm gloating.

so, around friday two weeks ago, i couldn't sleep. at all. for the whole night till dawn i couldn't even close my eyes. so around 6.30 am i decided to take a walk around city. first i went to southgate area, i swear it was a very cold morning! i took around 600+ photos that morning which i will put them in my flickr account.

that morning, i had a plan in my head to hit my new favourite cafe for breakfast. so let's start the story!

1. Cafe Andiamo
36-38 degraves st, melbourne 3000

my first experience of having egg benedict. i'm sad, i know. anyway, it was a very attractive choice for breakfast, better than the big portion of big breakfast or scrambled eggs. i really liked it though. as you can see from the photo, it really does look so tempting and it does taste fine.

for you who don't know what is Eggs Benedict [EB], i'll patiently explain. EB is poached eggs that usually served on the top of english muffin. in my case, they also put leg ham in between the egg and the muffin. and finally served it with spinach and hollandaise sauce. it looks so posh, doesn't it?

according to my cookbook reference, EB was initially created in a restaurant called Delmonico, New York City. There were Mr and Mrs. LeGrand Benedict, regulars at this restaurant, who complained there was nothing new on the menu. and EB was the result.

i was so excited to try my EB for the first time. it is a genovesse coffee, and the barista is very good in coffee making. he is so quick but always never fails to create such a nice coffee and serve it in perfect temperature. it may be just me, but i do sometimes feel annoyed by some baristas who serve extremely hot take away coffee. i don't have forever to wait my coffee to cool down. but this guy is good.

and the EB? well, of course it was nice. the size is alright, the poached eggs were 'wow' and the spinach was the best spinach i've ever eaten. EB is absolutely another favourite option for breakfast menu and i'm looking forward to try it at other restaurants. for EB from Andiamo, i might be biased because this is my first time experice. no comparison. cannot complain.

quick commment: service is alright, food is okay, coffee is excellent and fairly cheap. price: $$. recommended!
